I want to prevent spam from overrunning my website, but neither do I want to make the user type in captcha each time they make a post. Any suggestions?

Context: My website allows anonymous users to make leave comments on the fly. Comments are randomly displayed, so the more spam = higher chance of it being shown. Need to prevent spam but don't want to have each comment require captcha input.
